Cathay Pacific flight returns to Hong Kong after takeoff, landing gear failure suspected

A Cathay Pacific flight returned to the Hong Kong International Airport shortly after takeoff on Tuesday. The flight landed safely with no injuries reported.

Shortly before 10 am today, Cathay Pacific flight CX 767 was heading from Hong Kong to Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, when it was suspected to have experienced landing gear failure which required it to return to the airport.

Police officers and firefighters were on standby as the plane landed back at the airport at 10.11 am.

The aircraft touched down safely with no reported injuries to any passengers or crew members onboard.
