Working Group on Patriotic Education hosts mascot and logo design competitions

A mascot and a logo design competition with the theme of “Love our Country, Love Hong Kong, Love our Community” will be hosted by the the Working Group on Patriotic Education.

The group said students from primary and secondary schools, as well as tertiary institutions, are invited to participate in the competitions with a view to enhancing awareness and sense of patriotism among the youth.

The competition will promote the mainstream values characterised by patriotism with affection for our country and Hong Kong and in conformity with the principle of “one country, two systems”, the group said.

The competition rules stipulate that participants must ensure that the information and content of their entries align with the purpose and objectives of the competition, without including elements of violence, defamation, or harm to national security. Failure to comply may result in disqualification.

The Convenor of the Working Group, Starry Lee Wai-king, said the group will in the future launch a series of activities under the same theme. There will also be promotional videos, aiming to reach a wider range of social classes and age groups through logos and mascots that align with the theme.
